The governing board of Melbourne Infant and Nursery School are seeking to appoint a Clerk to Governors. We are looking to appoint a friendly, well organised and dedicated person to become an important member of our Governing Board who is responsible for keeping an accurate record of meeting minutes and paperwork.
The governing board meet once every half term – typically on a Wednesday at 6pm – either in school or remotely via Microsoft Teams. Meetings typically last between 1-2 hours. The successful candidate will attend all meetings to take minutes; providing an accurate reflection of the meeting and summarising any actions required.
Outside of the meetings, the successful candidate will be responsible for record keeping and communication of relevant governing matters with our Governors, Headteacher and School Business Manager.
If you have experience of minute taking, are computer literate and organised, and if you’d like to play an important part of a friendly and supportive Governing Board ; we’d love to hear from you. Full training on school governance will be provided and there will be an opportunity to shadow the current Clerk before taking over the role.
