We are seeking to appoint a Clerk to our Local Trust Committee (LTC). This is an interesting, autonomous and flexible role within education for someone who is self-motivated, flexible, reliable, thorough and has a passion for administration and compliance

Duties of the Clerk to LTC include:

  • Attending committee meetings, producing accurate, succinct minutes and an action log for each meeting
  • Building relationships with the Chair of the LTC and Headteacher
  • Collating and distributing meeting papers using an agreed approach and within agreed timescales
  • Supporting the LTC to comply with relevant legislation and procedures
  • Keeping meticulous and accurate records.

The expected number of hours across an academic year is 78. However, it is not on a regular weekly basis and, for pay purposes, the core hours are paid at 1.5 hours per week. The needs of the role can vary across the academic year and additional hours may be required on an ad-hoc basis. The majority of work is home-based and can be completed flexibly within agreed time frames. This will be discussed more fully at interview.

  • Good minute taking skills and experience in the use of Microsoft Office packages
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships with the Chair and Headteacher
  • A high level of personal integrity.
  • Someone who is dependable and reliable
  • Proven interest in schools and education
  • Flexibility to attend meetings after the school day and to complete all other required work from home (laptop can be provided)
