Cotmanhay Junior School is a great school.

If you are someone who will inspire those around you, embrace our team ethic and help us make Cotmanhay an awesome place to live, learn and work, we want to hear from you.

The governors of Cotmanhay Junior School are seeking to appoint an inspirational teacher to join our amazing team.

This is a temporary role to cover maternity leave and will involve teaching groups of pupils who need more specialist support across the curriculum. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in helping the school continue to drive up its social and academic standards.

You will benefit from working with a brilliant team who understand how to enjoy challenge, and who make sure that strong relationships underpin great outcomes for our more vulnerable pupils.

Experience of working with pupils with SEND and in teaching EYFS/KS1 is key, as you will be responsible for planning multisensory learning activities to engage pupils, building on their prior learning and taking into account their specific and unique strengths and needs to ensure their progress.

Situated a short distance from the Peak District National Park and with easy access to both Nottingham and Derby city centres, Cotmanhay Junior School is a caring school. The school is very well resourced, pupil behaviours are good, and the school staff dedicate themselves to providing safe, happy learning for everyone, through a creative and exciting curriculum.

We want our pupils to inspire their community and help to make it an incredible place to live and learn, so if you have the skills and desire to be part of our wonderful team, we would love to hear from you.

Safeguarding checks will be undertaken for all shortlisted candidates. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity related to children. A copy of the school’s Child Protection Policy can be found on the school website. CVs will not be accepted without an official application form.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and we look forward to impressing you. Please contact us on 0115 9322011 to book a visit.

Proceed, with kindness.
