For every child, a chance to shine

The children, staff and governors of Whaley Bridge ER Primary School are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Teacher to join our team, to commence September 2024.

This is an exciting time for Whaley Bridge Primary School and this post has come about due to an increase in pupil numbers necessitating the creation of an additional class at our popular school.

We are a supportive, caring and dedicated team and staff wellbeing is given a high priority in our happy school. We are looking for a candidate who will bring additional strength to our teaching team, through their excellent classroom practice. At a time of growth for the school, this post brings opportunities for an aspiring leader to develop their subject coordinator skills, and to become involved in the wider life of the school. Our curriculum is underpinned by three core drivers and we are looking for someone who is able to inspire and demonstrate these values:

Caring and Green

You will demonstrate a kind, nurturing personality, respect for nature and the environment, especially the beautiful High Peak locality in which our school is situated.

Amazing Individuals

Your unique personality will inspire your learners and your colleagues, and will embed you into our school family.

Lifelong Learner

You will be self motivated, ambitious and keen to grow within the role both personally and professionally

The intention is that the post will be in Key Stage 1 though the successful candidate will have excellent knowledge, experience and understanding of the full primary age range. There could be some flexibility in the year group for a strong candidate.

At Whaley Bridge we are proud of our Enhanced resource provision and this ethos extends throughout our inclusive school. As such, the candidate will be an outstanding practitioner with strong inclusive values and ideally an interest in, or experience of, ensuring excellent outcomes for both SEND learners as well as more able learners.

Safeguarding Statement

Whaley Bridge Primary School are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks and other relevant employment checks including checks of social media.
