An opportunity has arisen for a Key Stage 1 (mixed Year 1/2) or Lower Key Stage 2 (Year 3/4) to join our small but dedicated team.

You are required to carry-out the duties of a school teacher as set out in the School Teacher’s Pay and Conditions.

We are looking for a full-time class teacher, who will teach either in our mixed Key Stage 1 class or our mixed Lower Key Stage 2 class (depending on candidate’s experience, knowledge and skills).

Considering our whole-school values of: Hope, Respect, Thankfulness, Friendship, Honesty and Creativity, we nurture our pupils and foster their creativity and curiosity through engaging, exciting lessons.

Staff at Rosliston CE Primary School have worked hard over the last five years to ensure our school is an environment rich in quality teaching and learning, embedding practices that empower children, parents/carers and members of our school community to believe in themselves, develop their love of learning and make a positive impact upon the wider world.

Across our school, we pride ourselves on nurturing language-rich classrooms with varied learning opportunities to meet the needs of all pupils. Communication is key, as well as embedding strong routines and consistent expectations to lay the foundations for learning. We also enjoy working with our local community, spending time outside and linking with the Forestry Centre, which we’re lucky to have on our doorstep.

We strive to provide opportunities for our children to apply the skills and knowledge taught both within school and beyond. Our learners and staff are happy, engaged, respectful and supportive of one another.  Rosliston CE Primary School takes great pride in all we do and we’re keen to welcome a new member to our team!

We endeavour to support our colleagues to be the best teachers they can be, through high quality training and professional development. Alongside high expectations and performance management processes, our ethos is one of care and support. We value mental health and wellbeing and prioritise this in all we do.

We are on an exciting school improvement journey, so the ideal candidate will be willing to join us in this, enjoying CPD opportunities and working towards the school’s action plan with vigour and pace.

ECTs are welcome to apply, particularly if experienced in primary school life, ready to deliver quality lessons and contribute to the school immediately.
