Job Summary

Sawley Junior School is seeking to appoint a passionate and committed class teacher to join our vibrant Year 4 team from January 2026. This is a full-time maternity cover position within a well-established and supportive phase. The role is unsuitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

There is also the potential for subject leadership responsibility, depending on experience and interest.

The job role you are applying for falls within the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (2013 and 2020) which requires you to disclose all unspent and spent convictions and cautions except those which are ‘protected’ under Police Act 1997 – Part V and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975 (2013 and 2020).
