Derbyshire County Council has been successful in gaining a large sum of money from the Government to improve bus services across the county. Part of this investment is into bus marketing – persuading more people to use buses.
The council’s communications team is looking for a communications officer to take responsibility for this work. You will work with an external agency to develop a full strategy and make sure that the strategy is delivered. You’ll also work with our public transport team and bus operators throughout the county.
The post is fixed term until March 2025 and is an ideal opportunity for someone with some marketing or public relations experience from either the public or private sector.
You can largely work from home, but we will want you to come into our offices in Matlock regularly and you may need to visit other locations round the county. We offer flexi-time, generous annual leave a discount scheme for a wide range of retailers and much more.
