We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic part time (22.2 hours per week), Service Development Officer, to work within our Health Protection Team on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, ensuring business continuity within the team, across the whole week.

The role will contribute to the health improvement of the population using a range of skills and knowledge, including public health expertise, to support the Health Protection Team and wider Public Health department to work with communities, organisations and a variety of settings, to develop and help implement programmes that meet the needs of the community.

The Health Protection Team is involved in a variety of work ranging from impacts of climate change and health, screening, immunisations and infection prevention. Team members use their skills to network with other teams, departments and organisations to influence, inform and bring about change to benefit wider population health.
