An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Supervisor to join the School Crossing Patrol team.  Our School Crossing Patrols are dedicated individuals who help keep children and their family’s safe on their journeys to and from school and are an important part of encouraging active travel by children, parents and carers.

As a Supervisor you will be responsible for the supervision of a number of patrols and their sites operating in the High Peak and Derbyshire Dales areas of Derbyshire.  As the first point of contact for patrols, you will deal with day to day operational and staff issues. You will be home- based with regular site visits to undertake staff supervision and conduct site and staff assessments.

You will be joining a friendly and supportive team of experienced Supervisors within a larger structure who work together to ensure the service operates safely and efficiently.   

The successful applicant ideally will have experience in completing assessments and be able to demonstrate experience in motivating, developing and supporting a person, team or project.

You will need to have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people including members of the public, school staff, Police as well as colleagues.
