We are seeking to recruit a Project Officer to work on our Disability Employer Engagement Derbyshire project.
Derbyshire County Council Public Health are committed to improving employment opportunities for disabled working aged people in Derbyshire.
The role will focus on delivering the team's offer to support employers to recruit and retain disabled people, source training for employers, developing policy templates and tailoring support, supporting and advising employers around business modifications and reasonable adjustments. The successful candidate will be able to partnership build through pro-active contact with employers and other organisations via telephone, email, Microsoft TEAMs and face-to-face, attend meetings and events countywide.
Candidates will require a good level of IT literacy including proficient use of Microsoft TEAMs, Word, Excel and Outlook along with the ability to adapt to bespoke databases. It is also essential that the successful candidate has excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with a wide range of individuals whilst maintaining a professional attitude. They will also be able to demonstrate good organisational and time management skills. We need a person who is flexible and capable of working both on their own initiative and as part of a team.
Experience of working within the disability employment sector and an understanding of the barriers that disabled people face within the world of recruitment and employment would be a distinct advantage.

This post is a fixed term contract until end February 2025 for 37 hours per week and these hours can be worked flexibly by arrangement. This is available as a secondment with current line manager’s permission.
