Do you want to be part of shaping the future of a large public health team in Derbyshire? We are looking for two dynamic and adaptable senior team members. As a Group Manager you will report directly to an Assistant Director of Public Health and be part of our Senior Management Team (SMT). You’ll lead strategies, teams, and services that support people in Derbyshire to live well and thrive.
We are currently developing and reshaping our senior leadership team with a new strategy to help us meet our ambitious transformation plans. As we develop the new strategy, we are looking for ways to innovate, adapt and transform the way we work. The role will involve management and leadership of teams, services and matrix working groups across a broad range of public health priorities. A flexible approach will be essential as we anticipate adapting portfolios as the strategy and department develop. We need two people with broad public health skills, knowledge, and experience to support us implementing our strategy, delivering a range of ambitious transformation programmes and quality improvement plans. These roles are ideal for those considering, or working towards, UKPHR portfolio registration.
The post holder will ensure statutory responsibilities are met and the effectiveness of performance and outcomes are maximised across the designated work areas. As a SMT member, you will ensure that strategies and plans fully reflect the national policy agenda and evidence base. You will lead contribution to corporate plans for named public health areas and reflect our values and behaviours.
Alongside our transformation programmes we are actively focusing on continuous improvement within designated areas of responsibility. This will involve utilising public health skills and competencies to ensure we comply with the established performance management and reporting arrangements. Key to this role is working with partner agencies and organisations to deliver improvements in understanding of needs and outcomes.
