An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Derbyshire County Council’s Public Health Department and support the work of the Health Improvement Team. We are looking to recruit an organised and enthusiastic individual to support the delivery of the Live Life Better Derbyshire (LLBD) integrated lifestyle service.

LLBD supports people to identify their holistic health and wellbeing needs, and provides smoking cessation, weight management and physical activity services across Derbyshire.

The post holder will contribute to the delivery of the LLBD service, with a particular focus on the expanding Stop Smoking Service, by supporting with a range of processes within the central LLBD Hub Team. Responsibilities may include the following (not exhaustive):

  • The implementation and monitoring of appropriate systems to enable resource planning.

  • Following established ordering procedures to ensure sufficient resources to meet service requirements.

  • Supporting with the provision Nicotine Replacement Therapies to Smoking Cessation clients.

  • Maintaining financial records and reviewing data to contribute towards resource planning.

  • Undertaking routine stock takes and inventory.

  • Supporting with new and existing referrals into service.

  • Supporting the Stop Smoking Management and Project Officer Team with ad hoc tasks as required in response to changing service needs.

The post will be based full time within the LLBD Hub Team. Working within a very busy office, the successful candidate will require an excellent level of IT literacy including proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams along with the ability to adapt to bespoke databases. The ability to use Microsoft Office 365 and its associated applications would be an advantage. It is also essential that the successful candidate has excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with a wide range of individuals whilst maintaining a professional attitude.

Due to the nature of the service the successful candidate must demonstrate the ability and commitment to undertaking a comprehensive range of duties as well as demonstrating flexibility in order to meet the demands of the service.
