Property is second only to staff in terms of Council cost and it is critical that the Council’s buildings are statutorily compliant, well maintained and fit for purpose.

A vacancy has arisen as the Council’s Technical Property Co-ordinator and presents an excellent opportunity for a suitably experienced professional to provide technical and administrative support in the management, acquisition and disposal of the Council’s land and buildings. 

The post holder will act as the principle point of contact for the Corporate Property service, liaising with other departments, tenants and the public on queries such as building maintenance and land ownership. Duties include co-ordinating repair requests, assisting with the management and payment of the Council’s utility bills, preparing plans for documents and maintaining property records including data on software.    

Working in a multi-disciplined, political organisation will test your interpersonal skills, demanding the highest levels of tact, diplomacy, and professionalism.
