Facilities Management Officer


An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Facilities Management Team for a dynamic and committed individual to support the delivery of the Council’s Modern Ways of Working programme.

You will be joining a team of eager and ambitious Facilities Management Officers and have a manager who is supportive and keen to facilitate development.

What will I be doing?

  • You will assist in collating, interpreting and analysing data on space and facilities requirements at various locations around the county.
  • You will assist in planning and co-ordinating the clearance of existing spaces, allocating new space and moving data and staff in line with data protection legislation and Council policies, including the co-ordination and management of external resources.
  • You will be communicating and liaising with colleagues within Corporate Property and other service department managers and staff on determining these requirements and championing our Modern Ways of Working programme, reporting to the Facilities Management Programme Manager as well as liaising with other professional involved with the programme.

What skills and experience do you need to have?

  • You will be enthusiastic, versatile and self-motivated with the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • You will have excellent IT skills
  • You will have confidence to work under pressure and manage several tasks simultaneously.
  • You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • You will have a relevant vocational qualification and relevant post qualification experience or significant and relevant practical experience in the role within property/facilities management area

Our Facilities Management team is contractually based at County Hall Matlock but as these positions will require you to travel to premises around the county you will have the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis.
