Derbyshire County Council, together with partner agencies in Derbyshire, is committed to supporting the resettlement of refugees across the County (excluding Derby City). The Council is seeking enthusiastic individuals who are comfortable with working in a dynamic and changing environment. The roles will be based with the County Council's Community Safety unit and the wider Safer Derbyshire Partnership at County Hall.

Your role will be to support the coordination and implementation of the County's response to the Homes for Ukraine Scheme and wider resettlement work as required.  You will support the Project Manager and Resettlement Co-ordinator and work both internally and externally with partners. Resettlement can be complex and emotionally charged and require sensitive yet firm handling at a variety of levels. Good communication and organisational skills in this role will be key to delivering a successful programme of resettling refugees in the County

We are looking to recruit for two posts, to work 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday).

Provisional Interview Date: Week commencing 5 September 2022

Due to this post having administrative privileges within the Council’s IT systems, and in order to comply with the Public Services Network requirements, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a Basic criminal record check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.
