An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Policy and Research Team for a dynamic and committed individual to support the council’s research and information function as a Senior Policy and Research Analyst.
In this role you will have the ability to manage, deliver and contribute to projects, covering a diverse range of topics and be able to provide information, insight and support to councillors, elected members and senior managers by producing high quality data analysis, interpretation, reports and recommendations to support the Council’s management of intelligence and insight to inform strategic decision making in order to improve the Council’s understanding of the impact it is making in local communities.
Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have knowledge of national, regional and local policy issues affecting local government, and the ability to respond to a rapidly changing agenda. You must be a dedicated, versatile and self-motivated individual who has experience of research and information within a Local Authority. You must also display a high level of tact, diplomacy, drive and enthusiasm, with excellent IT, communication and report writing skills. Being the expert on your projects and topic areas you will have the knowledge, experience and ability to motivate people at all levels to make decisions in a complex and emerging evidence-led strategy and policy environment.
