The appointment is subject to a £2,000 Welcome Payment.
The payment will be made in two instalments (50% upon commencement in post and 50% after the completion of a successful 6 month probation period). A two year retention clause is applicable to the payment. The payment is not available to employees who already work for the Council.
A grant of up to £6,000 may be available via our Relocation Assistance Scheme.
We have an exciting Opportunity Development Management Team Leader (Grade 11). This is a full-time and permanent position (37 hours per week). Hybrid working is in play with the ability to work from home 2-3 days per week.
This position includes a £2,000 welcome payment (t’s and c’s apply) and a grant of up to £6,000 may be available via a relocation assistant scheme!
The main purpose for this role is to provide professional planning leadership and day to day operational management to staff within the Development Management Section whilst maintaining an operational case load of predominantly major planning case work.
This position would be ideal for an experienced Principal Planning Officer looking for the next step in their career, or an existing Development Management Team Leader working with another Local Authority.
