South Derbyshire is one of the fastest growing areas in the country, located to the south of Derby. We are seeking to appoint to an exciting new role within the planning team to assist in providing a visible planning service, through ensuring that information is readily available and easily accessible to all customers. The ideal candidates would have experience in both planning and IT, with document and project management skills also well placed.

The successful candidate will manage a small team of Planning Technicians and be responsible for the departments software, ensuring that the systems meet the needs of the service and customers and satisfactorily monitor and manage the work of the wider team. We are looking for flexible and creative people with excellent communication and IT skills. A commitment to continuous improvement of service delivery and partnership working will be essential.
