The successful candidate will need to take forward our Local Plan review, which is currently underway.  The team leader will regularly engage with Members and cooperate across boundaries with our partners, working in accordance with the revised NPPF.

We are looking for a flexible and creative officer with excellent communication skills who can lead a small and experienced team of planning policy officers.  A commitment to continuous improvement of service delivery and partnership working will be essential.  You will be an MRTPI qualified town planner with at least five years post qualification experience of policy formulation and implementation.

In return we offer an essential car user allowance, hybrid and flexible working, a relocation package, free car parking, Local Government Pension Scheme, a professional subscription paid, cycle scheme and further training opportunities.
