An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced music education professional to join the highly successful Derby & Derbyshire Music Partnership team as Music Curriculum Consultant/Deputy Head of Service. The successful applicant will work closely with the Head of Service in both the strategic leadership and day-to-day operations of leading the Derbyshire Music Hub.
The postholder must be a powerful advocate and communicator with the ability to build collaborative relationships with stakeholders and lead teams. With proven business acumen and up to date knowledge of national policy and strategies for music education the post requires commitment to embedding equity, diversity and inclusion across our work, with the drive and ambition to achieve high standards, continuing to improve the music offer for all children and young people in Derby and Derbyshire. A strong understanding of finance and funding, including grant applications would be an asset.
This opportunity arises from the career development of the previous Deputy Head of Service, after 14 years in post. The successful applicant would start as soon as possible but by April 2025 at the very latest.
