Exciting opportunity for a Tourism Officer to join North East Derbyshire District Council (NEDDC) to support the delivery of the Council Plan, Growth Strategy and the Tourism Strategy in this newly created role.

NEDDC is set within North Derbyshire and has easy access to some of Derbyshire’s key assets such as the largest market town, stately homes as well as the Peak District National Park.
This role will play a massive part in letting everyone know what we already do, that North East Derbyshire District is the ideal place to live, work and play. With a supportive Cabinet that sees the benefits of Tourism, this is a role to shape the Councils tourism offer and make a real difference.
To be successful you will need:
- Knowledge of local plans, strategies, partnerships, policies and agreements relevant to tourism and economic development, business; skills and training.
- Awareness of business development needs and methods of business engagement.
- Knowledge and understanding of Tourism and Leisure industry and Local Authority services.
- Knowledge of working with internal and external partners and developing business opportunities.
