Job Details and Requirements

Our brand new Clay Cross Active facility will provide a place to be active, both physically and mentally. The new hub has been designed with the local community in mind and will provide activities to improve health, learning, development, and social interaction. The facility is anticipated to open early Summer 2025.

An enthusiastic team player is required to provide supervision of the facilities and customers at Clay Cross Active.

The successful candidates will supervise swimming pools, changing/locker rooms and fitness suites.  Other duties include assisting swimmers in difficulty, setting out and storing equipment as needed and promoting the centres activities and events.

The successful candidates will be subject to a Disclosure carried out by the DBS at the Enhanced Level.

To be successful you will need:

  • The ability to deal with a full age range of customers.
  • A good understanding of a wide range of sports & leisure activities.
  • To be physically fit & capable of heavy lifting.
  • RLSS UK National Pool Lifeguard 9th Edition Award.

Candidates must be sports orientated, have a good understanding of a wide range of sports and activities and must hold the RLSS UK National Pool Lifeguard Award. A formal coaching qualification in ball/racket sports, together with some teaching or coaching experience would be an advantage.
