The ICT Service Desk are responsible for much more than call logging and first-line support. Our Service Desk Technicians work across traditional ICT boundaries by providing second-line or desktop support and have responsibility for many key ICT systems.

Postholders have the opportunity to get involved in various ICT projects, undertake training in new technologies and support hybrid working. The NEDDC Joint ICT Service is the ideal place for you to further your career aspirations, as well as take advantage of our corporate benefits.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing ICT support to our business centres, leisure centres, depots, and Councillors around the Bolsover, Derbyshire Dales, and North East Derbyshire Districts. They will have the use of a dedicated ICT van for this purpose. The postholder will also contribute to telephone support and occasional site cover at Mill Lane, Wingerworth, on a rota basis.

Taking a responsible, flexible, and pro-active approach to your workload is essential to the role together with the ability to learn quickly on-the-job. Customer service skills are just as important as technical and problem solving skills. The post holder will be required to work efficiently as a member of a busy Service Desk team and manage their workload independently.
