Salary/Grade: £36,363 to £41,771 per annum/Grade 10 bar 11 (subject to job evaluation)

Hours/Days: 37 Hours a week

Contract Type: Fixed Term for 24 Months

Location: NEDDC District Council Offices, Wingerworth, BDC Offices, Arc, High Street, Clowne, DDDC Offices, Matlock or as determined by the Council.

We are seeking a dedicated Microsoft 365 Trainer and Engagement Specialist to ensure our supported Councils maximize their use of Microsoft 365 products. You will support the full adoption lifecycle, from planning and training to ongoing support, ensuring business needs are met efficiently and effectively.

You will train and engage our employees and Councillors on various Microsoft 365 products, enhancing the Council’s digital workplace by driving adoption and effective use of these technologies.

With strong interpersonal skills alongside M365 technical skills, you will perform a lead role in the Councils migration and adoption of Sharepoint, Teams, Co-pilot and the M365 suite of tools.

This is a newly created post within the Joint ICT service, providing high quality ICT services to Bolsover, Derbyshire Dales and Northeast Derbyshire District Councils. You will be a key member of a fantastic and supportive team in which learning, and training opportunities will be provided.

This is not just a job, it’s an exciting opportunity to change how we work, communicate and innovate. 

You’ll be expected to work at least two days a week from one of the supported offices, located at Wingerworth, Clowne and Matlock and provide and attend in person training and meetings etc when required.

The ability to work to tight deadlines and to be organised is essential as is self-motivation and a willingness to take on new challenges in a rapidly changing technical environment. Candidates should be flexible and possess excellent communication skills.

Due to this post having administrative privileges, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a Basic level Disclosure and Barring Service / Standard DBS check.

To be successful you will need:

  • Experience of developing and delivering training relating to M365.
  • Experience of managing projects related to M365 implementation such as Sharepoint migration.
  • Understanding of Microsoft 365 products and their practical application in a business environment.
  • M365 end user technical knowledge on Teams, OneDrive, Sharepoint, Forms, Power Automate, Office apps and Co-Pilot.
  • Experience with change management and user adoption strategies.
