Home Assistance Team Manager (Job Share)

Grade 13 - £43,693 to £46,731 (pro rata)

As the Manager of the Home Assistance Team, reporting to an Environmental Health Service Manager, you will jointly lead and support a team of 6 officers delivering support to our most vulnerable residents.  This is a team providing a range of frontline services including the delivery of disabled facilities grants, affordable warmth and energy advice, advice and support on housing matters as well as an innovative community outreach service, which provides support for maximising income and helping respond to the cost-of-living crisis.  Supporting our most vulnerable residents, this is a rewarding role with opportunities to develop the service area further and explore new ideas. 

Commercial Team Manager (Full Time)

As the Manager of the Commercial Team, reporting to an Environmental Health Service Manager, you will lead and support a team of 5 officers delivering support to our residents and businesses through effective food safety and health & safety regulation.  The Commercial Team provides a range of frontline services including the management of approved food businesses, special treatment registrations, outdoor events and is also responsible for infectious disease control and private water supply monitoring. 

About You

As a qualified and ambitious Environmental Health professional you will lead the Team and, in doing so, bring experience and enthusiasm, set a good example in terms of conduct and behaviours whilst motivating, supervising and supporting staff.  You will deal with appraisals, training, disciplinary issues, setting of targets and objectives and monitoring performance.  You will be responsible for ensuring best practice through the development of focussed systems, innovative working and have routine interaction with elected members, public and businesses. 

You will need a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
