We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Engineering Technical Assistant to join our dynamic Engineering Services team.

 About the Role

As Technical Assistant, you’ll provide hands-on support across drainage services, street lighting, and street nameplates, while also assisting with inspections, surveys, and minor construction projects. You’ll be a key player in maintaining accurate records, liaising with contractors and the public, and ensuring the smooth operation of engineering functions.

 What We’re Looking For

  • GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to read technical drawings and use Microsoft Office
  • Experience with AutoCAD or GIS-based systems (desirable)
  • Knowledge of drainage and surfacing defects (desirable)
  • Valid UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
