Are you looking for a role where your work truly matters? We’re on the lookout for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our small but friendly team, supporting the vital work of Electoral Registration and Elections.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be at the heart of local and national democracy—helping to deliver smooth, secure, and accessible elections that make a real difference in people’s lives.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of electoral services, from maintaining the electoral register to supporting the delivery of local and national elections and referendums. As you grow in the role, you’ll take on more responsibility and even step in for the Electoral Services Manager when needed.
You’ll also get the chance to build your expertise through professional training, including the Association of Electoral Administrators Foundation Course and the Certificate in Electoral Administration. The role is career graded to support the development of the successful postholder. This is a career-graded role that grows with you—designed to support your development, build your confidence, and help you step into greater responsibility as you progress.
What We’re Looking For
We’re after someone who:
- Has a good understanding of local government and electoral services
- Can juggle multiple priorities and meet statutory deadlines
- Enjoys working as part of a team and building strong working relationships
- Is confident with ICT systems (experience with Civica Xpress is a bonus!)
Due to the nature of the role, you’ll be expected to remain politically neutral and during busy election periods, you’ll need to be flexible with your hours—including some evenings/weekends.
