An exciting opportunity has arisen with the Business Services Team for a committed and motivated individual to manage and supervise the provision of an administrative service within the Schools and Learning Division.  We are looking for someone who is able to identify service requirements or shortfalls and implement the delivery of innovative solutions to maximise service quality, efficiency and continuity and contribute to policy and service development. You will also be required to lead, and performance manage a number of teams of business services staff. The Teams are within Education Improvement, Governor Support, Early Years, Music Partnership, and Catering Services. 

It will include: 

  • Working collaboratively across Childrens Services and other departments
  • Supporting the Senior Business Services Manager for Schools and Learning and Head of Service for Business Services
  • Appraisals and supervision of four Business Services Officers
  • Monitoring budgets
  • Identifying were improvements and efficiencies can be made in the service areas

Skills and Experience we are looking for: 

  • Management of a team 
  • Financial planning and budget management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to analyse information
  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplined environment with proven ability to problem solve and meet deadlines
  • The ability to work at pace, motivate the team and establish effective partnerships across the council
