Cemeteries and Play Area Operative

We require enthusiastic, positive, hard-working individuals who are committed to providing a high standard of work towards the Clean & Green Services. The following duties include: 

• Assisting in the preparation and back filling of burials within the District Councils cemeteries
• Carrying out inspections at the District Councils play areas.
• Carrying out memorial safety inspections
• Carrying out cemetery maintenance works including mowing, weeding and cleansing 

You will be required to have a full driving licence.  It is essential that you have good customer service skills and knowledge of Health & Safety. It is essential that you have 3 years relevant experience and/or an NVQ Level 2 in a relevant subject. 

The post includes:

• 26 days leave per year plus bank holidays (pro rata), rising to 30 days after 5 years’ service.
• Enrolment into the Local Government pension scheme
• Optional overtime when available
• Reduced leisure centre membership fees
