Hours of work: The successful applicant will be required to work 3 weekends out of 4. The hours will be 7.5 per day working from 9.00 to 17.00. Some bank holiday working will be required.
We have an exciting opportunity within our Clean and Green Department for a permanent public convenience’s cleaner. We require an enthusiastic, positive, hard-working individual who is committed to providing great customer service whilst completing the following duties:
- To undertake either individually or as a member of a team the duties concerned with the cleaning, attending and servicing of public conveniences.
- Ensure that all items are in good working order and report all defects and damage and repair minor damage.
- You will be provided with a council vehicle and will be required to drive to different facilities across the district. You will be required to use the vehicle appropriately and carry out necessary vehicle checks.
- On request to be able to fulfil any other duties of a Clean and Green Operative in an efficient and effective manner.
You will be required to have a full driving licence. It is essential that you have good customer service skills and knowledge of Health & Safety. It is desirable but not essential that you have 3 years relevant experience and a knowledge of COSHH.
The post includes:
- 26 days leave per year plus bank holidays (rising to 30 days leave per year after 5 years’ service)
