Amber Valley Borough Council is seeking a dedicated professional manager to oversee the delivery and development of its frontline operational services, including, Waste & Recycling, Grounds Maintenance, Street Cleansing, Fleet and Car Parking. In addition, the postholder will be responsible for corporate leadership on climate change issues; working with colleagues across both the council and Derbyshire to develop and implement strategies to reduce carbon emissions and measures to mitigate the impact of climate change.
You will have a proven track record of developing partnerships, teams and individuals, and delivering sustained improvements in at least one of the service areas. With a sound understanding of strategy development and successful experience in service planning and budget management, you will be politically astute with considerable experience of working with elected members.
