The Council is seeking to appoint an ICT Technical Service Manager within the Joint ICT Service. The service delivers high quality ICT Services to Bolsover, Derbyshire Dales, and North East Derbyshire District Council.
The Technical Service Manager will lead the delivery of high-quality ICT services to the Council and partners of the Joint ICT Service. You will directly manage a team of technical support specialists to ensure service delivery and timely issue resolution. Working with the Assistant Director you will develop and implement strategies to optimize the ICT infrastructure, systems, and processes.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for technology and staying up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the service. Management skills and ability to motivate and drive through change is essential.
Currently there is the opportunity to work intermittently from home, however you will be expected to attend the office at least 3 days a week, however this is dependent on service needs, and you will need to be able to travel to the support sites within an acceptable timeframe.
The ability to work to tight deadlines and to be organised is essential as is self-motivation and a willingness to take on new challenges in a rapidly changing technical environment. Candidates should be flexible and possess excellent communication skills.
Due to this post having administrative privileges, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a Basic level Disclosure and Barring Service check.
