Kimberley School is an exciting place to work.   Our aim is for every child to achieve or surpass their academic and social potential and we achieve this through providing an outstanding quality of education, underpinned by a strong programme of care, guidance, support and enrichment.

We are seeking a keen ICT Support Technician to provide sound technical support throughout the school.  Applicants will have good communication skills, a good knowledge of ICT in many forms and complementary technical skills.  Ongoing training and personal development will be supported. The post will include helpdesk work, assistance with the management of resources and use of multimedia etc. Whilst we are ideally looking for candidates with experience we would consider an individual who is looking to undertake an apprenticeship in IT.  A keen, enthusiastic and 'can do' attitude is essential!

On the application form, please focus on a detailed 'supporting statement' taking into account the person specification and indicating why you would be the best person for us to recruit to this position.

If you have any questions or would like an informal discussion about the post or would like a tour of the school, please contact the school office on 0115 9387000 or by email at hr@kimberleyschool.co.uk

The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post, will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK. The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Safeguarding checks will be undertaken during the recruitment process and this may include online searches.

We welcome applications regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or religion.

Please do not apply using The Derbyshire County Council Website.

Closing date for applications is 12noon on Tuesday 6th June 2023.

Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.
