Pay and Reward Analyst

We have two exciting opportunities for HR professionals to join our Pay and Reward Team.
You will be required to assist in the delivery of pay and reward projects that will support the Council in delivering against its people priorities. The pay and reward team continue to develop and implement plans that will enable the Council to be an employer of choice through the development of our employee value proposition.
As a job analyst you will undertake the assessment and grading of roles to ensure that the Council maintains a consistent and robust job evaluation service. Essential job evaluation training will be provided on the Councils job evaluation scheme methodology through Korn Ferry. You will provide advice and guidance to managers at all levels across the Council to support the job evaluation process, managing expectations in terms of grade assessments and timescales as appropriate.
The pay and reward team undertake pay statutory reporting including Gender Pay Gap reporting, Pay Policy Statement and Transparency Code. You will provide support the analysis of workforce data to enable accurate reporting of gender pay gap and transparency reporting in line with legislative requirements.
You should possess excellent IT skills including the analysis of data and be able to use Excel and Word effectively.

Senior HR Business Partner

This is an exceptional opportunity to join our amazing HR Business Partner Team, this role currently focusses on supporting our Children’s Services department, but will be required to work dynamically and flexibly to support our other departments. We’re looking for someone who can confidently serve as a strategic partner, and have depth of operational experience to be a trusted advisor to senior leaders to support to deliver organisational strategies and our ambitious programme of work.

This role is responsible for:
- Leading the customer facing HR service provision for the respective Directorate(s).
- Providing HR leadership, support and challenge to deliver people solutions to address strategic and operational challenges.
- Supporting transformational change whilst embedding HR in day-to-day operations working with colleagues across the HR function to meet customer requirements.
- Managing a team of 3 HR Business Partners, a Resourcing Partner and matrix management of HR functional leads in L&D and Talent.
- Developing and leading on the implementation of the People Strategy for the directorate and partnering senior leaders to deliver the people strands of the Council’s Children’s Strategy.
- Focus on strategic workforce planning
- Supporting effective engagement, working closely with departmental and Trade Union colleagues.
