The County is seeking to increase its pool of relief traffic enumerators. The work may include traffic and asset surveys, pedestrian & cycle surveys, one to one interviews, speed surveys; using appropriate data collection equipment.
This work will involve the erection of survey equipment that will entail working on the highway and may involve working at height and as such successful applicants will have to be willing to undertake appropriate training and use smalls tools as required by the role. There are also roles that require data processing and input so familiarity with IT systems is beneficial.
Previous traffic data collection working and confidence in the use of IT would be advantageous, but training will be given. The work is usually carried out on weekdays, as required, with occasional weekend/unsocial hours working. The workload varies according to demand hence these posts are of a relief nature that currently has no guaranteed hours or fixed working pattern.
