We are actively searching for a passionate individual with local government experience to become our Head of HR & Payroll. 

Join us at our Council during this dynamic period of change and play a pivotal role in driving and supporting our transformation initiatives.

Collaborate closely with Service Directors, other Heads of Service, and senior managers to lead and manage a team of HR and Payroll professionals. 

Your expertise will ensure the fair and consistent application of policies and procedures throughout the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Align our council's vision, strategy, and delivery plans with transformation efforts.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Seasoned HR professional with demonstrable experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of local government operations.
  • Passion for working within the public sector and contributing to the community.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven track record in driving organisational transformation and managing change.
  • Sound knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
