Insurance Officer Opportunity
We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Corporate Insurance Team as an Insurance Officer (Claims). This is an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise in a varied and rewarding role, managing a diverse range of insurance claims while helping to protect the Council's interests and deliver fair outcomes for our communities. Working within a supportive and professional team, you'll play a key role in ensuring claims are handled efficiently, effectively and with excellent customer service.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing and investigating a diverse range of public liability, employers' liability, motor and property claims.
- Gathering evidence, assessing liability and making recommendations.
- Working closely with council services, insurers, legal representatives and claimants.
- Providing advice, maintaining accurate records and supporting service improvements.
What we're looking for
We're looking for a motivated and customer-focused individual with experience in insurance, claims handling, legal services, risk management, finance or a similar professional environment. You'll have strong communication, analytical and organisational skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to balance competing priorities. Most importantly, you'll be eager to learn, build relationships and provide a high-quality service to colleagues, stakeholders and members of the public.
