Do you care about where you live? Are you confident at approaching people? Can you remain calm in conflict situations? The licensing team are recruiting a full time enforcement officer.

The role is varied and covers a range of duties including visible patrols, issuing fines, problem-solving, and engaging with our local communities. The successful candidate will have specific responsibilities relating to taxi licensing, which involves ensuring drivers and operators comply with regulations, such as carrying proper insurance, displaying licenses, pre-booking private hire vehicles, and adhering to standards for health and safety and record-keeping.

The post holder must have a positive attitude and to be able to work both independently and as part of a busy team and build good working relationships with other teams and agencies. 

This role involves driving council vehicles therefore a full driving license is essential.
