Derbyshire Adult Community Education Service are recruiting learner support assistants to work for us in various locations across Derbyshire.  

We urgently require learning support for the following substantial roles to start in September 2026 with planned end dates in June 2027:

    • A role supporting a young adult to undertake work experience at Chatsworth 3 days per week from 9am until 3pm (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays)
    • Support for a small group of young people 18+ completing work placements at Amazon, East Midlands Airport – 4 days per week for 6 hours per day.
    • Individual and small group support for pastoral, social emotional and independence building for learners on study programmes (3 days per week for 6 hours per day). 1 post each for Bolsover, Cotmanhay, Glossop, Lea Green and Swadlincote.
    • Individual learner support in the classroom for young people aged 16 to 24 with additional needs including those with Education Health and Care Plans. (3 days per week for 6 hours per day). Separate posts at Bolsover, Clay Cross, Cotmanhay, Clay Cross, Glossop, Lea Green and Swadlincote.

We are keen to recruit applicants with experience and interest in supporting learners to engage, progress, and achieve.  We offer relevant training opportunities including job coach training once in post.
