Derbyshire Adult Community Education Service (DACES) is seeking to appoint suitably qualified and experienced GCSE English Language subject specialist tutors to our tutor pool.
GCSE English Language classes are delivered face-to-face in our centres to young people aged 14-19, using the AQA GCSE English Language (8700) syllabus.
In addition to specific a GCSE class once appointed to the tutor pool tutors can be asked to cover for absent colleagues or build a working pattern to suit on a course-by-course basis. This makes this role ideal for both those who only want a few hours a week to those who want to build a more substantive role and timetable of classes.
We are particularly keen to hear from people who can work in the following areas:
- Bolsover
- Clay Cross
- Cotmanhay
- Swadlincote
Applicants should:
- Hold a recognised teaching qualification and subject specialist qualification.
- Have experience of working with learners in the 14 – 19 age range.
- Have experience of delivering to learners who are resitting GCSEs.
- Be able to deliver in a blended learning approach to maintain engagement, interaction and motivation of learners.
- Be committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion and British Values.
