Are you are interested in joining our small but busy Licensing Team to help support our wide range of communities? If so, then you will be well received at Amber Valley as we are looking for someone who cares about the safety of our communities and may have some experience of regulatory services to perform the role of Licensing Officer.
As a Licensing Officer you would be responsible for the processing of licence applications in accordance with legal processes and assisting applicants, members of the public and other regulatory agencies to achieve the appropriate licensing outcome.
The duties are varied and include licensing of pubs, clubs, and entertainment venues. Also, the regulation of the taxi trade, scrap metal collection sites, pet shops, sex establishments and various premises ranging from provision of late-night refreshment to gambling and street trading.
You will need to have excellent communication skills, well developed IT skills and the ability to organise and prioritise your own work. A knowledge and experience of local government licensing, and of working in a regulatory service would be beneficial to this role, however training will be provided.
