The Governors are seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team of hardworking and dedicated staff, to start September 2026.
(Potential for the post to be extended beyond 31 August 2027).
We are a large primary school with 3 EYFS classes, 4 mixed Year 1/2 classes, 4 Year 3/4 classes and 4 Year 5/6 classes. This role involves working across the school to support teaching and learning.
This post involves teaching whole classes across the school to cover PPA and short-term absence, delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
The successful candidate will work across all key stages and liaise closely with class teachers to support planning and provide high-quality feedback to ensure pupil progress.
The successful candidate will:
- Have good written and verbal communication skills
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team
- Demonstrate flexibility and initiative
- Be able to manage behaviour positively and maintain a purposeful learning environment
- Have an understanding of supporting pupils with a range of additional needs and promoting inclusive practice
Experience of working in a primary school setting, ideally as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, would be desirable.
