We are part of the Limestone Peak Federation and under the leadership of the Executive Headteacher, together with the Head of School our purpose is to provide the very best possible education for our children through high quality training and professional development.
We strive to develop a curriculum rich with challenges and full of opportunities for applying the skills and knowledge taught both within school and beyond. Our learners and staff are happy, engaged, respectful and supportive of one another.
At Dove Holes Primary School we take great pride in educating children in a friendly, challenging, exciting and purposeful environment. The Governors wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant to be part of our continued drive for improvement. The successful candidate will be required to support children with a range of social communication challenges in the classroom and facilitate interventions.
Initially fixed-term 12 hours each week Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 9:00am-12:00PM with the potential for additional hours at our sister school within the Federation (see below)
There may be an opportunity for the successful candidate to work at Peak Dale Primary during the afternoons (Monday-Friday 1:00PM- 3:30PM, 12.5 hours per week) supporting a pupil with complex needs. If you are interested in this opportunity in addition to the role at Dove Holes, please ensure that this is clearly specified in your supporting statement.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, dedicated teaching assistant willing to work with all children, including those with special needs, to promote good behaviour and learning. Ideally we are looking for a teaching assistant who has experience working with children with SEND and complex needs and this would be most advantageous.
We welcome visits to the school. Please email the Head of School to arrange a suitable time. Please email: headofschool@doveholes.derbyshire.sch.uk
