We are seeking to appoint a Teaching and Learning Assistant to work with a range of children who have additional needs. It is essential that candidates have a good general education, are literate and numerate and are able to communicate well orally and in writing.  Successful candidates are required to hold a Teaching and Learning Assistants Level 2 qualification or above. The position will initially be for one year, however likely to extend with projected pupil numbers and funding. 

We are looking for a member of staff who is well organised, enjoys working with children, who is able to challenge, motivate and care for each pupil as an individual and foster independence. Good communication skills and the ability to work flexibly as part of a team are essential for this role. Experience of working with children with ASD and ADHD is desirable, as is experience of working with parents. As a junior school we also value staff who have KS1 or Special School experience, although not essential.
