The Governors of Buxton Infant School are seeking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• A flexible approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team and to use initiative in dealing with situations effectively.
• Good communication skills.
• Good levels of Literacy and Numeracy.
• Ability to maintain relevant pupil records as required and feedback to the class teacher.
• Ability to prepare equipment and resources for the children under direction of the class teacher.
• A sense of humour, empathy with children of this age, a caring personality and confidential nature.

The post involves working 5 mornings (9:00 – 12:15) to support a child with an EHCP. This child requires a high level of support and the successful candidate will be able to think creatively and flexibly to meet the child’s needs.
