Due to increasing pupil numbers into our popular school, the Governing Board of Coton-in-the-Elms C of E Primary School is seeking to appoint an experienced teaching assistant to join our wonderful school. In June 2023, the school had a full OFSTED inspection, and we are proud of our GOOD judgement with OUTSTANDING for Personal Development. We have an excellent staff team and our pupils are a joy to work with. We are looking for someone who can provide interventions and support to our vulnerable pupils and work alongside our SENDCO, to provide pastoral care. The successful candidate will work primarily within Key Stage 2, supporting pupils with additional needs but also be part of our Reading Squad who will support the teaching of reading from reception to Year 2. We are a compassionate school who will consider a flexible working pattern for the right candidate.
The successful candidates must:
- Be an enthusiastic and dedicated person who will encourage and engage with pupils.
- Have the patience and understanding to work with young children demonstrating outstanding care and support for pupils.
- Demonstrate willingness to engage in professional development and whole school initiatives.
- Have the ability to work as part of team, forming positive relationships with adults and pupils.
- Be willing to complete any statutory training.
- Be prepared to support with breaktime and lunchtime duties
