We need an amazing Teaching and Learning Assistant at Curbar Primary School to start on Monday 4 November (after half term break) or earlier.

With only four Teachers and three Teaching Assistants you will be an important part of the great team in this popular village school and integral in ensuring our children are ‘Happy learners forging their place in the world’.

Governors are looking for a friendly, vibrant, caring and suitably skilled individual to support a range of children across both key stages - including those with special educational needs, including children with ASD/ADHD and those experiencing social, behavioural and emotional difficulties. The work would involve leading groups of children and supporting our children in whole class situations, small groups and individually.

This is a position that requires warmth, nurture and patience but would offer huge rewards from the relationship between yourself and the children. The successful applicant will be expected to make a significant contribution to supporting and complementing the work of the teaching staff.

Previous experience of working with children (in a school setting), excellent interpersonal skills, appropriate qualifications, a sense of humour and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.

Please refer to the Job and Person Specifications for additional information.

In return, we can offer you the opportunity to work in a vibrant village school with friendly and dedicated staff, charming children and the opportunity to be part of our wonderful whole school community.

Curbar Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Pre-arranged visits to the school are encouraged.

Please contact the school on 01433 630266 or at: enquiries@curbar.derbyshire.sch.uk to arrange a suitable time or if you have any questions.
