The pupils, staff and governors of St Mary’s Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint suitably qualified and experienced learning support assistants to work with pupils with SEND.

Supporting pupils who have additional needs. We are looking for caring, flexible and conscientious people who display a total commitment to the principles of inclusion.

  • A good understanding of inclusion and supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs
  • An understanding of how children learn in Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
  • Patience, resilience and a positive outlook
  • Good organisation and communication skills enabling them to work effectively as part of a team
  • The ability to work flexibly and adapt to changes
  • The ability to engage with parents and develop positive relationships with pupils and staff
