Whitwell Primary School is a larger than average sized school in the village of Whitwell on the Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire border, with approximately 266 children on roll. We have a dedicated team of staff who are committed to raising achievement and standards for all groups of children.
We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Teaching and Learning Assistant who is a committed, enthusiastic and caring person. This role is to work with a KS1 class with a group of children with additional needs however this can change depending on the school’s needs.
The post will involve working within and outside the classroom under the direction of the class teacher. The successful applicant will be skilled at providing support. S/he will need to be flexible and able to work as part of a team to support in the planning and assessment of learning activities for the child.
