Gorseybrigg Primary School and Nursery is seeking a motivated, friendly and child centred SEN TA/TA to join our popular school. The post is temporary for one year in the first instance due to increases in funding but may well become a longer-term position for the right candidate. The post is based in our FS2 class, and also involves supporting two children with SEN. Ideally, we would like this post to commence at the start of Autumn 1 but will be flexible if needed for the right candidate.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Can work under the direction of our SENCOs and our FS teachers to support both in class and in small group interventions.
  • Can develop a good relationship with 2 fantastic pupils with some additional needs.
  • Can build excellent relationships with children, staff and parents.
  • Has experience in supporting younger pupils with some developmental delay.
  • Wants to further develop their skills and engage in training.
  • Can develop their own ideas in order to provide excellent in class support
  • Can ensure that the safety and care of our pupils is the highest priority
  • Is efficient, adaptable and hard working
  • Sees working in a school as a vocation rather than a job
  • Works well as part of a team and wants to contribute to making our school the best it can be.

We can offer you:

  • A work environment that is fun, friendly and welcoming.
  • Opportunities to be fully involved in the life of the school and develop your skills in a supportive environment.
  • Relevant training.
  • The possibility of becoming a longer term member of our team

If you are interested in the post then we are keen to hear from you. Please contact the school to arrange a visit to see why this is such a wonderful place to work!

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and all employees are expected to share this commitment.

Provisional Interview Date: w/c 12th June 2023
